There are so many unexpected surprises to be seen while traveling down a country road. While traveling down a little Texas back road, I had a bit of a problem with my car and pulled over to the side of the road to wait for my son to come and find me and fix whatever needed to be fixed. As soon as I had reached him and knew I was going to be saved, I looked out my window and this old abandoned farm implement whose only use at this time in history was providing a growing spot for some Texas cactus, was just sitting there ready for me to photograph it and bring it back to life. How delightful to have been given this subject to photograph. I call such unforeseen incidents "God Winks"...something to take our minds off of our troubles and smile for awhile.
